What Clients Say About Hypnotherapy Cheshire
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy?
Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern, collaborative approach that combines practical, goal-focused conversation with deep relaxation (hypnosis). Rather than analysing the past, it helps you focus on your strengths, set clear goals, and take small, manageable steps towards positive change. Sessions are tailored to your needs and often deliver noticeable results within 5–8 sessions.
How are sessions structured?
Each session begins with a brief check-in about what’s been good since your last appointment or any changes you’ve noticed. This helps focus on positive developments and guides the session’s direction. Sessions can include both psychotherapy (talking therapy) and hypnosis, or just talking therapy if you prefer. The approach is flexible and adapts to your current situation and goals.
Will I be in control during hypnosis?
Yes. Hypnosis feels similar to daydreaming or being absorbed in a good book. You remain fully awake, in control, and relaxed throughout. You can choose whether to include hypnosis in your sessions or stick to talking therapy.
How is client feedback used in therapy?
Client feedback is central to how therapy works. At the start of each session, your feedback helps shape the session so it stays relevant and personal. If you report improvements, these strengths are reinforced. If you feel stuck or face new difficulties, the approach is adjusted to support you. Therapy is a collaborative process, done with you—not to you.
What issues can hypnotherapy help with?
Hypnotherapy can support a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and physical concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, confidence, self-esteem, relationship issues, stress, phobias, OCD, unwanted habits, sleep issues, pain management, and more.
How do I know if this approach is right for me?
If you’re ready to take action and move forward, Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy offers a practical, empowering alternative to traditional therapies. Many clients find it helpful when other approaches have felt repetitive or unproductive. A free 15-minute consultation is available to discuss your needs and answer any questions.
What happens if my priorities change during therapy?
Therapy is flexible and adapts to your changing needs. If your focus shifts—for example, from managing a phobia to coping with work stress—sessions are adjusted to support your new goals. Feedback and collaboration ensure therapy remains relevant and effective.
Are sessions collaborative & tailored to me?
I believe therapy works best when we build solutions together. Sessions are designed alongside you—whether you are an adult navigating life transitions, a teen building coping skills, or a couple strengthening your bond. We keep communication open and straightforward so you always know what to expect. If you want to see how a collaborative approach can support your journey, contact me for a free, confidential consultation.
Will I be able to use what I learn after sessions end?
Yes. Sessions are designed to equip you with practical tools and strategies for ongoing self-reflection and growth. Many clients report feeling empowered to make positive changes and continue using what they’ve learnt after therapy ends.
Is everything explained clearly during sessions?
Clients consistently report that sessions are clear, supportive, and easy to follow. If you ever need more clarification, you’re encouraged to ask questions so you feel confident and informed throughout your therapy journey.
If you have a question not covered here, please get in touch for a free, confidential consultation.
How long does each session last?
Sessions typically last 50 minutes. This allows enough time for both the talking therapy and hypnosis components, if you choose to include both. The duration is designed to ensure you feel comfortable, supported, and able to make meaningful progress without feeling rushed.
